Russian River Valley wines embody our relentless pursuit of crafting wines that reflect the land that defines them. In the Russian River Valley, the cooling marine influence that pushes inland from the Pacific plays a defining role, bringing evening fog that tempers the warmth of the day. This extended growing season allows Chardonnay to develop vibrant acidity and layered complexity while maintaining purity and balance.
Sourced from a selection of premier vineyards, this wine showcases the region’s hallmark energy and elegance. Each individual lot was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in barrel using 100% native yeast, followed by malolactic fermentation, enhancing the wine’s depth and texture. A bright and layered bouquet of citrus, crisp apple, and pear unfolds with delicate floral nuances and a subtle oak influence. On the palate, vibrant lemon and toasted butterscotch flavors are complemented by refined minerality, while notes of lime zest and orange blossom extend a long, elegant finish.
THE RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY IS hallowed ground for lovers of great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Here, the vines are submersed in clockwork fog and daytime temperature swings, which preserve the natural acidity essential to elegant, age-worthy wines. We work with a handful of the most beloved vineyards from this remarkable wine region considered by many to be the heartland of California Pinot Noir.
Within Russian River Valley, in a town tucked away from the main roads, you’ll find a community ranging from writer to artisan. The town of Graton is an area where local winemakers and growers take a respite and enjoy some of the many popular yet under-the-radar restaurants. During harvest, the little town is full of life and bustling.
