SINGLE VINEYARD SERIES

2021 Shea Vineyard, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

We are thrilled to include the legendary Shea Vineyard in our acclaimed Single Vineyard Series. Planted by the grape-growing visionary Dick Shea in the late 1980s, this premier site was one of the first in Yamhill County and showcases the true essence of Willamette Valley’s terroir. With its exceptional 149-acre vineyard of grand cru-quality Pinot Noir, Shea Vineyard stands as a distinct highlight within our collection, characterized by its earth-driven nuances and captivating characteristics.

The 2021 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir has a sophisticated bouquet of sarsaparilla, black cherry, and rose petals. In the glass, sleek oak dazzles the palate along with a happy confluence of tundra herbs. Intriguing depth and dimension are upheld with fine, chalky tannins, while a lengthy finish highlights nuances of black tea and dried flowers.

Fact of Note: The debut of Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir features grapes meticulously selected from the vineyard’s premier top block.

WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OREGON

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, an ice dam burst from Glacial Lake Missoula, causing catastrophic flooding across Washington, down the Columbia River, and into Oregon, carrying treasures of glaciofluvial deposits. As a result, the enchanting soils of the Willamette Valley range from some of the deepest alluvial deposits to eroded basalts to uplifted sea beds—a Pinot Noir paradise.
