PALATE
Firm tannins are finely grained and supported by soaring acidity and layers of refined boysenberry, ripe strawberry, and cherries. A beautifully polished blend with an extended finish.
Unshackled from geographic constraints, this is a wine that comes straight from the heart of our winemaking team. 4-Barrel is a singular wine, whose components change each year but the promise and reason for being, remain the same—a winemaker’s pledge to unearth a remarkable story from each vintage.
Combining the most sublime lots of wine from four of California’s most extraordinary vineyards with our favorite French oak coopers, our 2020 4-Barrel is a testament to everything we have learned about growing and making Pinot Noir over the past quarter-century. This consummate blend from the Treehouse, Rita’s Crown, Gowan Creek, and Cerise vineyards is brilliantly fragrant, bursting with aromas of red berries, roses, old-growth forest, and wet river rocks. On the palate, age-worthy tannins and dynamic acidity add depth and dimension to an impeccably polished finish.
Fact of Note: Inaugural vintage of Gowan Creek as a Single Vineyard wine and first time included in the blend.
With soaring aromas and pure, exquisite flavors, these are incredible wines from a not-to-be-missed vintage.
