OBSERVATIONS SERIES

2019 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir

The renowned Silver Eagle Vineyard stands as a testament to the dedication and expertise of its founder, Ulises Valdez, a Sonoma County farming legend. Valdez, who immigrated to the US as a young teenager, honed his skills over the years, earning much acclaim for his commitment to excellence in the vineyards. Nestled in the Sonoma Coast AVA, Silver Eagle Vineyard enjoys both the cooling ocean breezes of the nearby Pacific and the warmth of the Russian River Valley. This distinct confluence of climates imparts a remarkable character to the wines produced here.

The 2019 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir is a true reflection of the vineyard’s exceptional terroir and meticulous winemaking. It reveals a symphony of flavors, including black cherry, dark chocolate, black licorice, and clove, creating a complex and enticing bouquet. In the glass, the wine dazzles, offering a precise balance of fruit, acidity, and tannins that span the entire palate, leading to an extended finish that leaves a lasting impression.

Fact of Note: With extremely low yields, Silver Eagle Vineyard was the most closely watched ferment of the vintage.
