About the Vintage

2021

Hailed by Julien, our winemaker, as one of the finest vintages in his eleven years at KB, the 2021 growing season proved unparalleled, marked by mild spring temperatures and abundant sunshine, followed by a summer that brought some heat variation. The vintage unfolded with picturesque precision and allowed for harvesting each vineyard without compromise at its peak of terroir-driven charm.

A Study in Cerise

Farming in Anderson Valley began in the 1850s, and the first grapevines soon followed. Our story here began in 2016. After having admired Cerise vineyard for many years from afar, we were fortunate to acquire and farm the vineyard ourselves.
