About the Vintage

From southern California’s Sta. Rita Hills to the renowned Willamette Valley in Oregon, the 2022 West Coast growing season was uniquely influenced by a combination of warm weather and low yields. The resulting wines were made using a meticulous selection of grapes from the New World’s most storied vineyards infused with vibrant energy, unparalleled sophistication, and an unmistakable sense of place.

the sound of wine

The Sound of Wine

Wine is a full sensory experience – it is tactile, aromatic, and visual, with complex flavors you can taste and savor. But rarely is “sound” associated with drinking wine…. except at Kosta Browne. Music has always been a big part of the heart and soul that goes into making our wines – forming a soundtrack that is part of the mosaic that drives our journey forward.

Inspired by the spirit of music in our cellar, we came up with the idea of enriching the sensory tasting experience by bringing the “sound of wine” to life. For each Appellation Series wine, we commissioned a talented team of musicians to write a custom track based on our Winemaker Julien’s innovative way of describing our wines through the lens of music.
