Cerise Vineyard, Anderson Valley, Chardonnay

Over the past quarter-century, Anderson Valley has emerged as one of California’s most distinctive wine regions, with Cerise Vineyard standing as one of its most preeminent sites. Rising from 587 to 1,620 feet, the vineyard’s steep and unforgiving terrain yields wines that seamlessly blend rustic charm with remarkable energy and opulence.

Originally planted with Pinot Noir in 1997, selected vines were grafted to Chardonnay in 2013. This exceptional expression of Anderson Valley Chardonnay is cultivated on a southwest-facing slope within the vineyard’s coolest section, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.

The 2019 Cerise Chardonnay was harvested at ideal ripeness, allowing for a completely hands-off approach from pressing to bottling. This exquisite wine showcases bright and alluring aromas of white peach, orange blossom, and fresh ginger, beautifully intertwined with a radiant minerality. On the palate, a captivating interplay of richness and acidity creates a nuanced, hypnotic tension, delivering an unforgettable tasting experience.
